About Stand
Stand is for those of you who think it's all over, that there's nothing left for you. There is so much left for you to do in this world, so much you can influence and change. You never know who exactly is watching you. Your art, your music, your ideas can influence another person exponentially and the help you gave that person can influence another and another. The effects of your single action could be phenomenal, so if you end it all now, who knows what WON'T happen because of that. You need to Stand, be an example, be a light, show what you can do. You never know what you're going to cause.
"Stand is an idea I had after going to the hospital for suicidal thoughts. It took about a week after my hospital trip for me to realize that I'm most definitely not alone in this matter and that so many others suffer from depression like this. I created this site for people to post inspirational work to help depressed or suicidal teens see that they have so much left that they can do, and to give an influential voice to anyone who wants to speak out or see their works help another person. You don't have to be an amazing artist or a beautiful singer to post here. I want everyone to know that they not only have so much left, but that they also have an influential voice that has the capacity to help others." --Stand creator, Alisha Ann
